Many agents are focusing on their spring marketing efforts, for good reason, but they can't let their attentions for February go by the wayside. Even if that means a little marketing housekeeping, it's a good idea to stay attentive.

One of the best ways to do this is to keep posting on social media or an agent's website, according to Practical E-Commerce. After all, if people are going to be starting their search for an agent now - so they can hit the ground running when the shopping season officially begins - agents need to make sure everything is active, looking good and updated with the latest information.

It's also a good idea to keep going with any email marketing - such as a weekly listing newsletter - agents had been doing last year. One great way to do this, according to Home Value Leads, is with postings around major February holidays like Valentine's Day or Presidents' Day, but also lesser-known ones like National Home Warranty Day on Feb. 10 or National Love Your Pet Day on Feb. 20.

There may be no shortage of good marketing ideas available to real estate agents this month, but that does require them to put some legwork into their outreach efforts. Finding inspiration shouldn't be the difficult part, but agents will nonetheless have to make sure they clear room on their increasingly busy schedules to make time for helping themselves generate leads at this time of year.
